Animal Feeding
Our young guests are welcome to rise early to help with the morning animal feeding activity. We have many animal residents that wait eagerly for this visit.
- Goats
- Ducks
- Geese
- Chickens
- Alpacas
During the day the eggs need to be collected and the chickens love their visitors with tasty bits of encouragement to produce that egg for breakfast.
Swimming – Fishing
A walk along our mountain creek provides many spots for a cool dip in Summer. Children can play around the creek seeking out the freshwater crayfish or try for small fish in the water holes. Small hand lines and fishing nets provide hours of entertainment. Search for the tiny freshwater turtles that play hide and seek in the pools.
Bushwalks
We offer several bush walks along our creek and through the bush to a spectacular waterfall and rainforest gorge. Native birds are in abundance, king parrots, tawny frog mouth owls, and many more to keep the avid bird watcher intrigued. Bird watchers remember to bring your binoculars. Many species of birds have been logged by guests, with a lot spotted from the verandahs of the cottages.
Other Activities
Dairy Farm tours: Local tours to Maleny Dairies can be arranged for the experience of milking a cow and hand feeding calves, and to see where you bottled milk originates from.
Scarecrow Activity: - bring along your best outfit and build your own scarecrow.
